Photo Tips

Employers and recruiters are most likely to contact jobseekers who post photos with their resumes. To get the most out of your resume, we highly recommend you include at least one photo. Remember, only jobseekers who post at least one photo are eligible to become Featured Jobseekers. We also suggest you check out the jobseeker tips. The following tips will help you to post the best photos possible.
    1. Make sure to follow our Photo Guidelines. Read them before posting photos, so you can be sure that your photos will get posted on the site. All photos are subject to rejection or removal.
    2. Use current photos. If you don't have any recent photos, ask a friend with a digital camera to shoot your portrait.
    3. Choose quality photos. Take the time to find clear, well-lit pictures that accurately reflect your appearance.
    4. Provide photos of yourself in a variety of poses and in different settings, so that employers can see all of your features. You can post a portfolio of up to 10 of your favorite photos.
    5. Choose vivid, colorful photos instead of black and white images. Photos with bright, contrasting colors tend to attract more attention.
    6. Make sure your photos are big enough (at least 150 x 150 pixels) so that your features are clearly visible. Do not send thumbnail photos, as they are too small to be useful.
    7. Choose photos of yourself where you are in the center of the composition. After all, YOU are the focus of your resume!
    8. Nudity is permitted in your photos, provided they comply with our Photo Guidelines. Make sure to include at least one G or PG-rated photo if you wish to be featured in the public area.
    9. Don't worry if you don't have any photos to post when you first submit your resume. You can always add or update your portfolio later.
